To embody its spirit in a pen, the artisans of Montegrappa have fashioned a form that encompasses the myriad symbols embedded in the story: the sun and the moon, actual pieces and symbols of the metals of alchemy, cartographer’s drawing compass represented by the clip.
The artisans of Montegrappa have fashioned a form that encompasses the myriad symbols embedded in the story. Using the lost wax technique of casting, the pen is decorated with representations of the Sun and the Moon on the cap, the band onto which Sun and Moon are attached incorporating a rotating mechanism that gives the same tactile sensation as the winding and time-setting of a mechanical watch.
